I have been in the Health and Fitness Industry for over 8 years and I LOVE what I do. My passion for health was partly fueled by growing up as “the big boned” one, my sister being the “beanpole”. This damaged my self-esteem – I wondered why I was bigger, and I had no plan to change my body. Then in college a friend took me on my first real run, and it felt AMAZING. I had tapped into a store of energy I’d never felt before. After experiencing the benefits of running, I joined my first gym. As I started learning the basics of exercise my body not only transformed but I also gained energy, confidence, and strength.
My passion for health became my profession as I became a nutritional counselor in 2003, helping people make better food choices for weight loss. I soon realized nutrition alone wasn’t the key to optimal health, weight loss, and happiness. I needed to help people get active, so I started working for Gold’s Gym in 2005 as a Fitness Consultant and became the Sales Manager in 2007. I got my AFAA Certification in 2009 while being 8 months pregnant with my 2nd daughter and started a local outdoor boot camp and training for Gold’s earlier this year. I took off 65+ lbs after having each of my girls and if weight loss is your goal I can help you do the same. My strengths are core training, cardiovascular training, Interval Training, and flexibility. I’ve helped both women and men reach their goals through individualized goal setting, motivation, nutrition, and awesome coaching. My goals are to help you identify and reach your fitness goals in order to live an optimal life.
