My background in athletics began at an early age. Growing up I played football, wrestled, and ran track. I started on every football team and competed on three state championship track teams. I began strength training in high school and continued on through college. After earning a bachelor’s degree from UNCW in Hospitality I moved to Charleston and pursued a career as a professional cook in some of the city’s finest restaurants. At the time I was committing everything in my life to cooking. Lifting was no longer a part of my life. It was not long before I found myself always tired, weak, and in pain. To combat this I once again began to pursue strength training. A little older and wiser I was now able to fully focus and take my training and nutrition seriously. I am now certified as a personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and pursing a master’s degree in Athletic Training from Charleston Southern University. It is an honor to be a part of such a great company and community.
