I served 20 years in the United States Air Force. Upon retiring from the military in Aug 2003, I was unable to find employee and decided to redirect my career. I pursued my Personal Trainer Certification followed by Group Exercise Certification. I started personal training and leading group exercise classes in January 2004. Since the start of my fitness career, I have obtained several certifications and constantly looking for new way to grow. I love promoting health and fitness. It is always a pleasure to assist others in obtaining an active and healthy lifestyle.

What led you to group fitness? I was a regular participant in various aerobic classes for years. I was one of the first patrons to arrive to class and always positioned myself in the front of the class. A friend recommended that I pursue a career in fitness after retiring from the military. I didn’t have a job at the time and thought way not. I pursued a Personal Trainer certification and shortly followed with obtaining my Group Fitness Certification.
How do you spend your time outside of the gym? I am full-time government employee. I enjoy listening to music, shopping and preparing for my weekly aerobic classes.
